High ink performance that achieves outstanding speed
The high productivity of 21.0m²/h in the case of the standard mode using 4 colours and 13.2m²/h in the case of the standard mode using 8 colours are suitable to accomplish print jobs requiring quick delivery. When outputting a 900 x 1800 mm sign (of PVC) using a high-speed mode of 30.0m²/h by 4 colours, output of about 10 sheets/hour is possible.
"XY slitter" capable of reducing post-process work by X-axis & Y-axis sheet-fed cutting
Highly precise cutting technology through in-line X-axis & Y-axis sheet-fed cutting is standard with the CJV330 Printer/Cutter. Working space requirements for post-print slitting become unnecessary, offering space-saving and enabling efficient cut work. This function also accommodates work requiring quick delivery to expand the range of your work.
Media changer - attach up to 3 rolls to enhance your work efficiency
Setting up to three rolls of media at a time significantly saves labour for media replacement. Multiple media are attachable or for big print runs you can load up three rolls of the same film to make change-over simple. This also results in space-saving and an efficient work environment. Just lightly rotating a handle replaces the media, so anybody can use it easily.
V-shape sheet-cut function
By sheet-cutting the media into a V-shape with the new "V-shape cut function", a single point can be enough to tape the media to the take-up roll when winding it around the paper core. The centre of the media can be accurately attached to the paper core to reduce human error and avoid media conveyance misalignment. It can also save material by using a small part of the media and taping at one point. At the touch of a button of the printer, it is easy to choose between two methods: "V-shaped cut" or conventional cut.
ID Cut function
"ID Cut function" which enables continuous cutting operation to be performed automatically is included. This is a genuine labour-saving process by making print and cut operations as efficient as possible in conjunction with the CG-FX-II PLUS vinyl cutters.
The "ID Cut function" is the function that automatically scans printed-out register marks with ID, then reads and cuts cut data. While any operators scanned register marks and specified cut data for each cutting job in the past, use of the "ID Cut" function is now made possible to perform unmanned and continuous cutting operations, and operators can proceed with another operation simultaneously when the machine is performing the cutting operation.
Quick-dry SS21 ink that achieves outstanding speed
SS21 ink was developed through the concentrated knowledge and technology of Mimaki. The SS21 ink dries quickly on the media due to a good balance between ink penetration and solvent volatilization. High productivity is achieved through high-density printing at high-speed modes without blocking and bleeding.
Orange ink broadens the range of color representation.
By using the SS21 orange ink as a process colour, 94.8% of the PANTONE colour chart is covered with approximate colours. Thanks to a wider gamut with the orange ink, food freshness can be simulated, and corporate colours can be faithfully represented.
Light black ink assists in beautiful monochrome image printing.
The SS21 light black ink and superior gray-balance control produce accurate grayscale printing without unexpected colour shifts. Smooth and non-grainy skin tones and grayscale gradation are delivered.
White ink accentuates ink colours
Due to larger ink droplet size, the CJV330-160 is able to print white ink at higher density than that by conventional models. Accordingly, the degree of white ink opacity is increased. White base layer printing accentuates the brightness of colour printing on transparent or opaque media.
Nozzle check unit (NCU) automatically detects clogged nozzles and unclogs them.
Clogged nozzles are detected automatically by monitoring ink droplets with sensors. When clogged nozzles are found, the nozzles are automatically cleaned. A monitoring interval is set for each print dataset at specified time intervals. The NCU reduces waste printing after the occurrence of clogged nozzles.
Nozzle recovery system (NRS) for maintaining productivity
Previously, when the issue was not resolved after nozzle cleaning, the printhead needed to be repaired by a technician, and printing operation had to be stopped until the maintenance work was completed. The NRS allows the printer to continue print operations without interruption by using non-defective nozzles as substitutes for defective nozzles until the technician arrives.
