Choose your ink system

The BN-20 series offers a choice of three different ink configurations. For four-colour (CMYK) printing, the BN-20A is the best choice for standard process colour inkjet printing.  ECO-SOL MAX2™ offers fast drying time, high density, wide colour gamut, rugged scratch resistance, low cost per square metre and broad uncoated media support. ECO-SOL MAX2™ is virtually odourless, and graphics are water and UV resistant up to three years outdoors** without lamination. ** CMYK only

The five colour inkset in the original BN-20 — combining metallic silver OR white ink with CMYK — is the premier choice for versatility and market competitiveness. This allows you to add value and sophistication to virtually any graphic on a wide range of media, including clear vinyl and films, fine art paper, canvas, and photobase paper. Metallic Silver Eco-SOL MAX2 ink — recognised as DPI Product of the Year — can be printed as a spot colour, or combined with CMYK to produce over 500 striking metallic and pearlescent colours. The new Metallic Texture Library adds 26 different texture fills as well.  White ink can also be used as a Spot Colour or as a base when printing onto clear or dark film.

Advanced Media Handling System

The BN-20 series is equipped with a simplified media feed system that automatically aligns roll media in the printer. This intuitive system detects and adjusts the pinch roll wheels to the width of the installed media, ensuring proper placement and tracking. The BN-20 supports roll media from 150 to 515 mm in width, weighing up to 6 kg.

Optional Stand available

The BN-20 or BN-20A is perfect for use on a desktop but an optional stand is also available for those with limited desktop space or who wish to have the unit freestanding.  The small footprint of the stand ensures the machine takes up no more room than it would on a bench.

The VersaStudio takes full advantage of Roland DG Versaworks. This true Adobe PostScript 3 RIP is designed by Roland DG to ensure exceptional production output with unmatched ease of use and uses the latest Adobe CPSI 3018 engine. VersaWorks uses Roland DG Intelligent Pass Control to optimize the output quality on the BN-20 and estimates the ink usage and print time for each graphic produced.  The Roland DG Colour System accurately reproduces spot colours from Roland DG Colour charts and swatch books.
