New Product - Roland VS-640 VersaCAMM

Roland DG Corporation today announced the new VersaCAMM VS-640 inkjet printer/cutter featuring DPI award-winning Metallic Silver ECO-SOL MAXTM ink.

At 64" wide (1620mm), the VS-640 is Roland's largest and most versatile printer/cutter to date and sets a new standard for the digital printing industry.  The VS-640 combines the industry's latest print head technology with renowned Roland Print & Cut capabilities, Roland's unique Advanced Ink Circulation System and an optional take-up unit for unattended production capabilities. A new Roland Metallic Colour Library includes a range of metallic and pearlescent colours allowing VS-640 users to add luxurious metallic effects to signs, banners, vehicle graphics and wraps, fine art posters, packaging prototypes, labels, decals, POP displays, heat transfers for apparel and more.

Based on a new generation of print head technology, the VS-640 fires droplets of seven different sizes with unmatched accuracy, for smooth gradations, beautiful photographs and flawless solid colours.  Precision-rounded nozzles combine with the advanced ink firing system to produce perfect ink droplets and unrivalled image quality. The new gold-plated print head is designed to repel ink in order to minimise clogs.  At the time of purchase customers can choose between 3 configurations:
  1. CMYK plus Light Cyan, Light Magenta, White and Metallic Silver
  2. CCMMYK plus Light Cyan and Light Magenta
  3. CMYK x 2 for outstanding speed
The VS-640 is available with a 3 Years "Heads & All" Warranty and should prove to be one of Roland's most successful new products in recent times.

Sign Essentials awarded Roland Partner of the Year

At the recent Roland Awards Dinner, held at Darling Harbour in Sydney, Sign Essentials was delighted to receive the Roland Partner of the Year award for 2009.  Roland Dealers throughout Australia were eligible to win this award which recognises excellence in sales volume, customer support, product knowledge and administration.  The award was presented by Roland DG's Managing Director Marc Margetts.  Previously known as the Dealer of the Year Award, this is the fourth time we have received this accolade since 2000.  The management of Sign Essentials would like to thank all staff and customers for contributing to our success. 

Roland Award for Most Outstanding Service & Support 2009

Sign Essentials is proud to have been awarded Roland DG's Award for Most Outstanding Service and Support 2009. The award was presented at the Roland Awards Dinner in Sydney by Roland's Product Manager Conrad Birkett.  This is the sixth time Sign Essentials has received this award - previously winning in 1997/1998, 2002/2003, 2004/2005, 2005/2006 and 2007 (no awards were presented for 2008).  It's an achievement we're very proud of, as service is something we always strive to excel in. All Roland dealers throughout Australia were eligible. A big thank you to all our hard working support staff and service people who helped us achieve this award.

Queensland Dealer of the Year Award 2009

Sign Essentials also received the award for Roland’s Queensland Partner of the Year for 2009. This is the ninth consecutive year Sign Essentials has received this award and it reaffirms our commitment to the Queensland sign industry. We made a decision many years ago to concentrate on the Queensland area and not spread ourselves too thin.  This award once again validates that decision.  The award was presented by Roland DG's Managing Director Marc Margetts at the annual awards dinner in Sydney.  Thanks to all our customers from Far North Queensland down to the Gold Coast who supported us throughout this period.
 

Roland's Administration Partner Award 2009

Sign Essentials has been awarded Roland DG's Administration Partner Award for 2009.  The award was presented by Roland DG's Chief Financial Officer Camryn Turner.  This award was voted for by all Roland's Accounts and Admin staff and recognises our excellence in account payments, warranty reports, and general administrative functions.  Thanks to all our staff and customers for contributing to this award.

  

Golden Dealer

Sign Essentials awarded "Golden Dealer Status" by Roland DG. This award was presented in recognition of purchases of more than One Million Dollars in 2009. This is the sixth consecutive year we have achieved this status. Once again, considering the population of Queensland, this is quite an achievement.  A special thanks to everyone who bought a Roland product from us this past year.

New Product - Roland XC-540MT

New Product: Roland XC-540MT Metallic Printer

Roland DG today announced the release of the new SolJet Pro III XC-540MT featuring revolutionary new Metallic Silver Ink.  As the world's first inkjet printer/cutter developed exclusively for metallic silver ink, the XC-540MT features six colours, CMYK+Metallic Silver+White (CMYK+MT+W).  Compatible with vinyl, PET film, canvas, paper, transparent film and banner, the new metallic silver ink can be printed on demand as a spot colour or combined with the XC-540MT's CMYK + W inks to produce a range of coloured metallic effects including gold, silver and pearlescent colours. 

With an eye on keeping the total cost of operation (TCO) down, Roland DG has implemented the automated Advanced Ink Circulation System for the XC-540MT.  The AICS recirculates ink recirculation system to keep maintenance costs on specialist inks such as Metallic and White to an absolute minimum.  AICS is a unique solution for large format printers from Roland and the XC-540MT and new LEC-330 printers are the only products on the market to feature this kind of technology.
