Unparalleled Speed and Great Quality

Roland’s AdvancedJET AJ-1000i was built for speed. In fact, this unique class of grand-format printer is the company’s fastest model yet. With a blinding maximum print speed of 90 sq m/hr at 360x180 dpi, and a precision print mode of 12 sq m/h at 720x720 dpi. the AJ-1000i creates banners, billboards, vehicle graphics and more in no time.

High Capacity Ink System

With the AJ-1000i, you can go the distance. Its high-capacity 1 litre ink cartridges ensure seamless unattended printing, and an advanced ink delivery system allows replacement of cartridges without pausing.

Advanced Tri-Heater and Blower System

The AJ-1000i features an integrated tri-heater system and blower that make both high speed printing and take-up possible. The heating system consists of three elements. A pre-heater opens pores in the media to improve its receptiveness. The print heater accelerates ink fastness and brightness by ensuring the ink is absorbed. Finally, the dryer and blower accelerate ink drying for better productivity, workability and scratch resistance.

Automated Media Feed and Take-Up System

The AJ-1000i includes an automated media feed and take-up system for precision high-volume printing, even when unattended. This pre-assembled unit includes front-mounted feed and take-up rollers and a dual idler roller system that together ensure correct media feeding. The system supports rolls weighing up to 100Kg. and offers front access for convenient loading and unloading.

Network Connection

Equipped with a standard 100 BASE-TX/10 BASE-T interface, the AJ-1000i connects seamlessly to office networks with a data transmission rate of 1.1 Mb/sec. This makes it easy to configure a highly efficient printing environment.

VersaWorks Software

The AJ-1000i includes VersaWorks, powerful RIP software developed by Roland engineers for the company’s inkjet technology. Built upon the genuine Adobe® PostScript® CPSI™ RIP engine, VersaWorks features an efficient graphical user interface that allows users to maximize the AJ-1000i features without a lengthy learning curve. In addition to advanced colour management tools, VersaWorks includes a wide variety of convenient layout, edit and print functions such as nesting, tiling and auto/manual-layout, among others. VersaWorks offers the ability to preview jobs on screen, reducing ink and media consumption due to mistakes. Users can use two job queues for handling different print conditions and can automatically update VersaWorks through the Internet, ensuring that they always have the latest software version and Roland ICC profiles available. VersaWorks is compatible with Windows XP Professional and Windows Vista Business or higher operating systems.

The AJ-1000i is designed to be a bullet-proof production machine. With regular maintenance, it will provide years of trouble-free service. But, unlike most inkjets that require daily maintenance, the AJ-1000i requires significantly less servicing.
