Powerful 8kW Spindle Motor
The Tekcel Fusion uses high quality HSD Auto Tool Change Spindles with ISO 30 tool holders and ER32 collets. The standard spindles provided are the heavy duty 8kW (10hp) motor. HSD Auto Tool Change spindles are capable of variable speeds up to 24,000 RPM and feature ceramic bearings for longer life and quieter operation in busy production environments.
Auto Tool Change System - Up to 18 Tools
The Tekcel Fusion comes with a standard pop-up tool rack that can hold up to 18 ISO 30 tool holders depending on the size table you choose. This configuration is more than enough for shopfitters, cabinetmakers and plastics and alupanel manufacturers.
Digital Servo / Ball Leadscrew Drive System
Tekcel routers feature recirculating ball leadscrew drive systems powered by closed loop, digital servo control motors on all axes. The X axis has 2 leadscrew drives to power the heavy duty gantry up and down the bed. The ball leadscrew drive systems deliver unerring accuracy, repeatability and reliability. Their rolling ball design virtually eliminates contact wear and creates a robust linear motion free of play. Less expensive drive systems, such as rack and pinion, are subject to wear and, as a result, can end up costing considerably more in terms of loss of accuracy, breakdowns and loss of production. Our servo motors deliver the power you need to get the through the biggest workloads, constantly checking their position to maintain cutting accuracy at all times. The motors on the X and Y axes are AC Servos, which enable the machine to run at faster traverse speeds. This pushes the Fusion to new heights.
Standard 9 Position Multibore Drilling Head
If your work involves a lot of drilling, for example shelf holes, construction pilots, drawer runner holes and the like, the Tekcel Fusion has a standard 9 tool multibore drilling head. This can speed up producion by eliminating the need for tool changes between drilling applications, by drilling multiple holes at one time, and by reducing travel time around the table. Multibore drilling heads are particularly popular in the cabinetmaking and shopfitting industries, but can be used for any similar application.
Automatic Tool Length Sensor
The Tekcel Wireless Auto Tool Length Sensor ensures the machine can keep track of the length of the tool you are using. If it knows the length of the tool you will get extremely accurate cutting depths and will not be able to cut into the bed of the table. Even if you accidentally program the machine to cut too deep it will not continue past the top of the bed. Incidentally the Tekcel keeps track of its X and Y positions at all times too. This ensures you can not crash the gantry on any axis, providing safety and eliminating expensive service calls.Sheet Material Locating & Loading/Unloading System
The Tekcel Fusion incorporates pop-up locating pins as standard. Many other machines only offer this feature as a paid option, but the come standard on the Verso. Simply pop the pins into the up position, slide the board against the pins at the fron t and side of the machine, then pop th elocating pins down again. Your board will be perfectly positioned time after time.We can automate things even further. The Tekcel Fusion offers an optional loading/unloading system. From the time you press "Start" the Fusion will pick up a sheet from a lift system at the rear of the machine and load it onto the machine at precisely the right position - it will even vacuum the table as it does so, in case any dust has settled on it since your last job. Once the job is completed the Fusion will unload the sheet to an outfeed table at the front, so parts can be sorted and edgebanded while the next sheet is cutting.
Super Heavy Duty Steel Construction
The Tekcel Fusion features a super heavy duty steel frame and gantry. The frame and gantry are precision machined and welded to ensure outstanding rigidity. Amazingly, it's even stronger than the Enduro. This will remove any potential for vibration, which could otherwise affect cut quality. It also allows the machine to run at higher speeds to increase productivity. The construction of the frame also includes forklift pick up points to assist with easy transportation and installation onsite. The router bed is constructed from heavy duty reinforced aluminium extrusions which retain their shape even under stress from the strongest vacuum pressure. When topped with rigid foam and precision milled the tables are so flat they can be used for cut to mask applications (cut the material and leave the protective paper intact).
User Friendly Controls
The Tekcel Fusion features Tekmov - the most user friendly and easiest operating system to use and learn. The Tekmov joystick control is conveniently mounted on the machine ensuring there is no risk of damaging the controller by dropping it. Menu Read Outs allow operators to adjust settings on the fly, at any time during the job. Job numbers are virtually unlimited and can be organised in standard folders like on any computer. Tekmov even allows managers to limit the features on the display to ensure operators can't alter files if you don't want them to. Tekmov will log jobs and times in convenient txt file, and provides convenient diagnostic tools in the unlikely event of technical problems.
The Tekcel Fusion comes with ProfileLab 2D which features 2D shape and text design plus full 2D toolpath generation. There is no limit to the number of toolpaths in a job, and male, female, hog, online and drilling paths can be easily created and then saved as templates for future use. ProfileLab 2D can be upgraded at any time to add features like bulk DXF importing, true shape nesting, 3D carve, special effects, advanced text, and vectorising.
