Xaar High Quality Printheads

The TeckSmartUV is fitted with state of the art Xaar XJ500 head technology.  These heads provide resolutions up to 720dpi.  Colour choices are CMYK plus White or CMYKLcLm plus White

Reliable ink supply

The TeckSmartUV ink supply system is designed to offer consistently reliable and easy-to-control ink for trouble-free UV printing.  The following features are included as standard.

• Ink agitators inside the primary tanks run automatically to prevent sedimentation of the white ink
• Low level ink sensors fitted to both the primary and secondary ink tanks provide a high level of reliability by sounding an audible alarm to alert the operator when low ink levels have been detected.  LEDs indicate which colour is low ensuring easy ink replenishment.
• TeckSmartUV's highly efficient heater system and circulation maintain an accurate system temperature which is critical in all UV printing.  The system provides fast warm-up of the ink supply and print heads thus providing a quick start and reliable operation. 

Simple UV Lamp Control

The UV Lamp control system is fitted with shutters which provide accurate curing for optimal ink adhesion.  Exposure to the media can be reduced by up to 50% protecting it from distortion.

Efficient Pinch Roller and Vacuum system

The TeckSmartUV is a hybrid machine - meaning both rigid sheet and roll media can be used.  This is done with a combination system involving pinch roller and vacuum hold-down.  Sheets up to 15mm thick are positioned on the bed and held in position by a strong vacuum hold down system.  They are then pulled through by a pinch roller system similar to those used by vinyl cutting machines, but with material thickness adjustments.  Strong suction power helps to protect flexible materials from puckering or lifting during printing.

Simple material alignment

The TeckSmartUV features a media edge sensor which accurately measures media width and location for fast and accurate positioning of the print edges.

Print head height adjustment

Print head height is simply set to the thickness of the substrate up to 15mm thick. This is controlled via the Teckwin Print Software - either manual or automatic adjustments can be made.

Servo Motors and Encoders ensure accuracy

High Quality servo motors coupled with a metal encoder scale ensure consistent high resolution print even while printing in bi-directional modes for faster output.
