Xaar High Quality Printheads

The TeckStorm R is fitted with state of the art grey scaling Xaar XJ760 head technology.  These heads provide smooth dot transition to provide a level of sharpness rarely seen in CMYK printing.  Dots can be varied from 8 pl (picolitre) for perfectly legible 3pt text to 40 pl for high density solid colours.  Solid white is printed using Xaar XJ500/40UV heads which provide an exceptional solid white for background covering on both transparent media and dark colours.

Reliable ink supply

The TeckStorm R ink supply system is designed to offer consistently reliable and easy-to-control ink for trouble-free UV printing.  The following features are included as standard.

• Ink agitators inside the primary tanks run automatically to prevent sedimentation of the white ink
• Low level ink sensors fitted to both the primary and secondary ink tanks provide a high level of reliability by sounding an audible alarm to alert the operator when low ink levels have been detected.  LEDs indicate which colour is low ensuring easy ink replenishment.
• TeckStorm R's built-in de-gassing system removes microbubbles from the bulk ink supply to provide further reliability through reduced nozzle outages and increased drop placement accuracy during printing
• Teckstorm R's highly efficient heater system and circulation maintain an accurate system temperature which is critical in all UV printing.  The system provides fast warm-up of the ink supply and print heads thus providing a quick start and reliable operation. 

Simple UV Lamp Control

The UV Lamp control system is fitted with shutters which provide accurate curing for optimal ink adhesion.  Exposure to the media can be reduced by up to 50% protecting it from distortion.

Efficient Vacuum Hold-down PLUS Roll-to-roll

The TeckStorm R features a true flat-bed table, but it also features a true roll-to-roll system.  Sheets up to 50mm thick are positioned on the bed and held in position by a strong vacuum hold down system.  The TeckStorm boasts 8 separate sections that can be turned on or off to accommodate different sized materials.  Strong suction power helps to protect flexible materials from puckering or lifting during printing.  When printing on roll media this is dealt with on a separate bed.  The system incorporates feed assist and take-up.  Roll media can be left in the machine when switching back to rigid modes. 

Simple material alignment

The TeckStorm R features pop-up alignment pins that will ensure materials are located in the same position every time.  The pins retract before printing so as not to interfere with the print process.

Print head height adjustment

Print head height is simply set to the thickness of the substrate up to 50mm thick. This is controlled via the Teckwin Print Software - no manual adjustments are necessary.

Servo Motors and Lead Screws ensure accuracy

High Quality servo motors coupled with dual lead screws and a high resolution raster ensure consistent high resolution print even while printing in bi-directional modes for faster output.  The head carriage is supported by twin rails to ensure accurate alignment and movement with minimum vibration to ensure maximised print quality.
